Dear Colleagues,

 Today, Senators Durbin and Obama along with Representative Biggert
issued the following press release:

which describes the letter they sent to the Director of the Office of
Management and Budget encouraging an increase in funding for the
Department of Energy Office of Science, the High Energy Physics program
and Fermilab.

While we consider this to be encouraging news, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
CONTINUE WITH OUR LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN!    If we are to be successful
in restoring funding for high energy physics in FY08, it will take
support from our elected representatives across the nation.

Again, we encourage you to spread the word to your friends, family,
neighbors and colleagues.  The SLAC users are working on a similar
letter writing campaign.   It is crucial that we ALL send letters to our
House and Senate representatives.   There is no motivation to wait until 
after the holidays, please send in your letters as soon as you can.
