The International Council for Accreditation and Academic Standards (ICAAS)
is an international, independent, not-for-profit, post-secondary accrediting
organization. Founded in 1984, ICAAS promotes standards, champions quality
promotes academic standards for traditional and online institutions; and advocates for the value of international accreditation.
accreditation is a process of evaluating an institution against best-practice
standards. ICAAS develops standards by using a consensus model with input
from education providers, funders,
policymakers and consumers across the United States, Canada,
Europe and Asia. The standards represent up-to-date research findings, regulations,
and academic experience that together serve to define quality organizational
practice. ICAAS's standards are comprised of organizational and management
standards and academic standards, including the full array of educational
services, institutional analysis, financial management/debt services, teacher
evaluation guidelines, and many academic areas for which no other accreditor
has standards. For more details on the International Council for Accreditation and Academic Standards please visit their web site at icaas.us
