Is there an application deadline?

There is no application deadline. However, the sooner your application and other required information is in the better for you. Providing you've been accepted, you still must take care of a few other details.

How much is the application fee?

An application fee of US$30 is required for undergraduate and US$40 for graduate first-time applicants. The application fee is non-refundable.

Where can I get the application for admission?

You can fill out a request form on the contact page and submit it to us, or you can send us an email with your mailing information.

Does the university have a minimum test score or GPA for admission?

There is no minimum SAT/ACT score required, however, an official copy of the exam scores is required for evaluation and records purposes. A minimum 2.25 GPA is required for freshmen and 2.0 for transfer students, for admission. Graduate requirements may vary.

Are interviews, references, or essays required for admission?

For undergraduate admission, neither interviews nor essays are required. Two recommendations (provided with your application) are helpful, but not required. For graduate admission, a statement of purpose essay is required. Interviews are at the discretion of the department. Three recommendations are required for graduate admission.

Is a college prep diploma required for admission?

No. For general admission there is no special requirements, except as an Honors Scholar, some special requirements do exist.

Will the university accept the General Education Diploma (GED)?

Yes, Kendall University will accept the General Education/Equivalency Diploma (GED).

Will the university honor a home study program diploma?

Kendall University does not accept of credits, diplomas, degrees, etc. from unaccredited high schools and/or universities. However a student may present a GED for basis of admission.

If I retake the SAT, will the university accept my new scores?

The highest test score from an SAT or ACT that is received prior to acceptance will be used in the admission process.

Is there a waiting list for admission?

At present there is no waiting list for undergraduate admission. For graduate admission, there is limited space available in some programs. You should inquire about your specific program.

Is admission open for freshmen and transfers at any semester?

Yes, unless otherwise specified in the Kendall University Undergraduate or Graduate bulletins.
