How many majors and degrees are offered?

On the undergraduate level over 95 degrees and programs are offered and on the graduate level over 75 degrees and programs are offered. This includes various master's and doctoral degrees and degrees from the Theological Seminary.

What is the difference between quarter and semester system?

A quarter system is made up of three major quarters averaging 10 weeks per session, and the summer quarter, made up of two 4 week sessions. A semester system is made up of two major sessions averaging 15 weeks per session.

How many courses are considered a full load?

Undergraduate: Under the semester system, the numbers stay the same (12 and 15-16). The change is not in the number of credits per term but in the number of terms and the total number of credits per year.
Graduate: Under the semester system, MA, and Doctoral programs for full time students should have a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 9 semester credits. Credits in excess of 9 require the dean's permission.

Are academic scholarships available?

Kendall University has several scholarships that reward academic excellence and are not need-based. To receive the full portion awarded the student must enroll for at least 12 credits per quarter.

Does the university have a graduate school?

Yes, in addition to the undergraduate school, Kendall offers post-baccalaureate degrees in the Arts & Sciences, Technology, Business, and degrees from the Theological Seminary.

What major agencies accredit the university?

Kendall has sought and received accreditation from the Association for Online Academic Accreditation (AOAA). In addition, application for accreditation by other accrediting bodies is being sought.

How long are the holiday and term breaks?

The Thanksgiving break usually comes around November 21 and is the entire week of Thanksgiving.
The Winter/Christmas break begind the week of Christmas and extends till the beginning of the second week of Janusry.
The spring mid-semester break usually comes around March 8 and begins on a Friday extending 10 days with classes resuming on a Monday.

Kendall University keeps abreast of all Career Days, Job Fairs, and professional placement opportunities and places notices in both the student newspaper and in our news bulletins.
