In contrast to have the traditional residential university, a
distance learning university is one in which students interact and communicate
with the University using various media. They interface with the University's
administration and faculty through email and the electronic media such as
telephone, fax, email, computers, etc.
When you register for this program, you receive a syllabus for
each course, this syllabus outlines the course work, including readings,
problem and exams. You take the exam in the privacy of your home. After you
finish your exam, you mail or fax it to your instructor for grading. Your
instructor / professor can assist you through your studies and
evaluates your exams to determine the grades.
When you begin a degree program, each of your course instructors
or professor will be your primary contact throughout the program. A coordinator
and staff of Berkeley will also provide assistance you. With the aid of
your professor, the Registrar will assess your academic credentials
and assist you to assure your steady progress towards graduation.
You would submit your finished reports, research project or thesis
to your advisor through email, mail or fax. Your advisor evaluates your assignments
to determine the grades. Please contact our International Student Services
