Frequently Asked Questions:

What is Attestation?
Credential attestation compares non-accredited, non-traditional, or alternative academic credentials with regionally accredited U.S. or Canadian educational equivalents. IEM provides an individualized, written report describing each certificate, diploma or degree you have earned and specifying its standard U.S. or Canadian equivalent.
How will an IEM Report benefit me?
The IEM Report will give you an idea of what to expect when presenting your educational credentials to employers. It also gives the employer an easy to understand description of the weight and value of your degree. If you are seeking employment the employer or agency may need to know whether or not your background meets the standards required to practice in that country. The IEM Report demonstrates how your education meets these requirements.
Is the IEM Report Accepted?
If you are continuing your education, you should always contact the institution, college or university and ask for details of its requirements for international credential evaluations.
The Report helps employers to understand your credentials, and provides supporting documentation of your educational or training requirements for the job, which you have applied.
Many of our clients include or attach The IEM Report to their résumé/vita when applying for employment to provide additional support, which may increase the opportunity of being selected for an interview.
How soon can I get The IEM Report?
In most cases, you will receive your Report in within two weeks from the date of your application. Be sure to allow sufficient time to avoid missing important employment opportunities or other deadlines. The IEM Report does not expire, so you can use it for immediate and future needs.
What do I submit for evaluation?
At a minimum, you must submit your degree diploma and/or transcript. If printed on both sides, include copies the front and back of each document that you submit.
How do I order an IEM Report?

First, submit copies of your documents by email, or by fax to 1 586 589 6603.

(no mailed submissions will be accepted).
