My Research:

I am doing research in Experimental High Energy Physics. I am a member of the CDF Collaboration, which operates the CDF detector (see picture).

The CDF detector is one of the two detectors for proton-antiproton collisions at Fermilab. CDF's most remarkable discovery was the joint observation of the top quark in 1994-1995. Currently, Run II is in full speed (started March 2001).
The CDF group at University of Illinois was actively involved in the Run II upgrade.
