EDUCATION & OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Department of Physics has a lively program of
community outreach and education.
Members of the HEP group are active participants and mentors, and serve as coordinators for
most of the outreach efforts.
Dr. Inga Karliner has been the department's Outreach Coordinator since she first organized
the program in 1993.
Professor Mats Selen is the advisor of the fabulous
Physics Van program.
The Physics Van web site includes an
"Ask the Van" department.
Mats is also featured as
"The Whys Guy"
in a live science segment every Wednesday on the WCIA Channel 3 morning news.
Take a look at video clips of his show!
