Analysis of the Cabibbo Supressed Decay Do --> pi- /ell+ nu

Results for the Cabibbo suppressed decays Do --> pi- e+ nu and
pi- mu+ nu are reported by Fermilab photoproduction experment E687.
The relative branching ratio for pi- e+ nu/ K- e+ nu for the combined
sample is measured to be 10.9 +/-2.3 (stat) + 0.7 -0.1 (exp sys) +
1.2 -0.4 (theo sys) %. Using this result and assuming the simple pole
model for form factors, the quantity |vcd/vcs|^2 |f+ pi/f+K|^2
is determined to be 0.0551 +/- 0.0117 + 0.036 - 0.006 (exp)
+ 0.0059 -0.0039 (theo).
