  • 10:00... George Gollin (Illinois): Overview of the LCRD Proposals.
We have received 49 Expressions of Interest for the DoE proposal, 23 on machine topics and 26 on detector systems. These EoIs are currently undergoing friendly review in the ALC Working groups. George has offered to collate a survey and overview of where things stand, and outline the process from here. This can/will be augmented by general comments from the Working Group leaders, as available.

  • 10:45 All: Discussion of continuing plan into Fall 02
We propose to generalize the LCRD meeting to a combination seminar series and open forum on LC technical issues and planning, starting in September. The seminars would be scheduled in advance to facilitate planning. What topics shall we cover? Who do you want to hear from? Come and make the plan.

  • 10:45... Review of the schedule and plan for the LCRD Proposal
You have already gotten a few mails with the news on this: At Santa Cruz, Mike Procario announced that the Doe will support the proposal with ~$400K for machine R&D and ~$500K for detector R&D. We set up a schedule for submitting in early September. It starts with Expressions of Interest, due AUGUST FIRST. See http://www.hep.uiuc.edu/LCRD/. Time is short, we need to start pulling this together!
